KLEIBACKER, CHARLES

Charles Kleibacker is a man of many titles, and for good reason. He’s well known in his field as a legendary fashion designer, adjunct curator at the Columbus Museum of Art, exhibitor of over thirteen collections in this market alone and is often heralded by industry professionals as a perpetually “in” fashion designer. Kleibacker graduated from Notre Dame in 1943 with a degree in journalism, eventually settling in New York City to pursue an education in retailing at NYU. Originally from Alabama, he has lived in Columbus since the mid-80s.
